Duran has served in the Colorado House of Representatives since 2010 and was elected speaker in 2016. She represents House District 5 in Central Denver and served as the House Majority Leader in the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions. Duran is the recipient of the 2016 Emily’s List Rising Star Award.
