Teens in the Driver Seat

Texas A&M Transportation Institute
Assistant Transportation Researcher

Created in 2002, Teens in the Driver Seat is the first peer-to-peer program for teens that focuses solely on traffic safety and addresses all major risks - distractions, speeding, seat belt use, drowsy driving and impairments. Our organization gives groups the science, guidance and project resources to implement a successful program that raises awareness about the risks, promotes positive behavior, and develops young leaders in traffic safety. We encourage HOSA groups and teachers to sign-up for our free program resources, which have been adapted for in-person and virtual delivery.

Teens in the Driver Seat is free thanks to our sponsors Colorado Department of Transportation and Union Pacific.
