Chakra Kids Yoga
Co-director
Amy Pancake
Amy Pancake learned to work with pre-school age children by working with the director of La Petite Ecole French immersion preschool in Austin. She now works with kids of all ages. Her experience includes 15 years of yoga teaching, kinesiology studies at U.T. Austin, ongoing study of human movement (including developmental movement with Emilie Conrad of Continuum Movement) and over 3,500 hours of kids yoga classes. Her skill and experience are tangible in her relationships with kids of all ages. Classes are fun, engaging, incorporate movement in all planes of gravity, activities to grow attention span, social time and guidance (when needed) in social interactions. She speaks fluent Spanish and French. Many of her classes are bilingual and we often learn sweet songs and how to count in Spanish and French. At the heart of her teaching is the commitment to connect in a heartfelt way with each student so they feel safe and free to express themselves in class. In 2015 Amy co-founded a Yoga Alliance registered children's yoga teacher training program in Austin - www.chakrakidsyoga.com. Check out Amy's blog on kids yoga http://kulahalfpints.blogspot.com/
Liz Shakti: Liz Shakti Hudson, E-RYT500, a yogini and meditator, world traveler, teacher, writer, jeweler, artist, entrepreneur, foodie, quote junkie and most of all a lover of life and all people big or little! When she found yoga 15 years ago, it was the home within that she had always been seeking. She began teaching children's yoga in her Montessori classroom and instantly fell in love with helping people find connection to their breath, body, peaceful mind and spirit. Liz teaches Pre & Postnatal, Toddlers, Kids & Teen, Family, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative & Kundalini Yoga in schools and studios in Austin. She loves to help people, big and small, learn various techniques to de-stress, relax and release outside thoughts, worries and tensions. She strives to empower her students to create their own practice and take away tools to use in everyday life as well as encourages them to intuitively flow into a meditative practice by connecting their movements with breath. Her goals are to have fun, to help people to bring awareness to their bodies and their life, both on and off the mat and to help spread conscious tools to children.
